Atlanta Post w/ Live Mechanics Founder Osa

|

Once upon a time, not too long ago, urban fashion lines were nearly non-existent. Today, they represent a large part of the fashion marketplace. Live Mechanics is one of the fashion lines which responded to a market demand for more culturally-creative men’s fashion. Established in 1999 by Osa Odiase, the Los-Angeles based line prides itself on reflecting a fusion of politics, music and street fashion. TAP correspondent Brandi Fowler got to sit down with Odiase to discuss the inspiration and business of his 12-year-old brand.

R.I.P - Jonas Bevacqua - LRG Co-Founder

|

We at Live Mechanics would like to send our deepest condolences to the LRG  crew on the Loss of Jonas Bevacqua...... The co founder of the brand.

He indeed was a worthy competitor who raised the creative bar every season . This in turn kept us all on our toes and more importantly allowed for better products to be fielded in the market place.

He will be greatly missed. Psalm 89.48 ....what man can live and not see death? May the Lord bring comfort to his entire family and may his soul rest in perfect peace.

Ricky Maestas...Photographer...

|

Big up to Ricky Maestas who put it down this past Friday. He is responsible for the Summer 11 Photography currently being featured on our home page. Its always a good feeling rolling with a professional photographer. Its feels as if Obi-Wan Kenobi is riding shotgun flipping though lenses and half his body is sticking out of the truck. Wait, that did actually happen...

Green Love Bicycles & LM

|

Last week we put together a photo shoot featuring a few key pieces from our Summer 2011 collection. We asked our friends at Green Love Bicycles if we could use some of their bikes as props. Little did I know I would fall in Love (Pun intended) with their fixies. Smooth, fast and fresh rides.

Needless to say the entire day was a lot of fun. Big thanks to the good people at Green Love Bicycles for their generosity.

Be sure to check out their website and buy yourself one of their fine pieces. They also have some pretty cool beach cruisers. Just in time for summer.

Here's a shot of the bikes ready to head out to Downtown LA.
and another shot of Jerome & Jamil cruising the streets.
